Start as you mean to go on

Hopefully not!

A new year that dawned with thunderstorms  and at dusk, a repeat.  Large quantities of hail up the valley, a brief covering of white.  In between it mostly rained.  

A complicated day at the cafe, might have turned ugly at times.   A party catering for themselves and using our annex, found their equipment overloaded our circuits.  Ended with them using our tiny kitchen.  Curry and Rice for 30!  All just as our day got busy.  Add in an unexpected shortage of takeaway cups and it made for an entertaining afternoon.  Well that’s how I chose to see it!    The restauranteur doing the catering must have been impressed - he took my number and offered me work if I was interested!!

The hailstorm abated just as we finished clearing up but the drive home along a road often white and occasionally flooded was slow.  A nice evening with R & J but a very late night in unfortunate circumstances.  

I’m sure 2023 has better to offer.
