Stripy cows

These Belted Galloway cows are in a field outside Ramsbury. I drive past them everyday on the way to work and they lift my spirits when I see them.

It's unusual to see this type of breed in Wiltshire. It originates in southern Scotland and was only removed from the rare breeds survival trust's watch list, having just recovered from the devastation of foot and mouth disease in the early 2000's.
