Sea

Waking in sunshine is so much nicer than waking in the cold. It’s in the mid 20s here. We spent the morning wandering around the resort and visiting a supermarket to grab some supplies. Around 12:30 Mark, Eleanor, PY and I set off on what turned out to be a four hour walk - with an appropriate lunch stop - past the airport to Playa Honda. Rob spent the afternoon with some other friends who had flown in to be with him for this birthday vacation.

Our walk was great. I love being out in the sunshine and just walking. Watching the planes arrive at the airport while we were walking right past the landing strip was fascinating to watch and I did spend some time trying to figure out where they were all going. Playa Honda seems like a great little town. All the buildings - at least those near the sea front and for a few blocks back that we looked at - are painted white which make the whole place look coordinated and quite stylish. On the wayback we went to a large, air-conditioned (quite important by this point) supermarket, Hiperdino Deiland, where I failed to find a small bottle of chilled water to have as I walk back. I ended up with a big bottle because it was very, very warm.
