Beech Avenue

This is a stretch of the "Town Loop" of the Kinross Heritage trail.
After work, I took the bike out for a quick jaunt in the sunlight. The wind was a bit gusty and chose to push me back as I headed for home.

The Trail has been a fantastic boost for the people of Kinross, with the route going throught the land owned by the Montgomerie family, the local Estate owners. It was with great sadness that I heard at the AGM of the School fundraising and events committee, that they are possibly selling the mansion Kinross House and the ground it stands on.

This means the cricket club and their newly built clubhouse and crease, with £54.000 presently spent on it, The annual Kinross Agricultural show, Community events and the High School 10K race, may have to find a new venue, or as so many things do, die a sudden death.

I understand the "Credit Crunch" means they may have to sell up and the new owners may not wish the community, all over their land. It will be a very sad day, if this is the case.
