Gemme viewpoint

The sunrise from the Gemmi Pass this morning was wonderful and all the more special after yesterday’s cloud. The views from our room and the restaurant were equally as good. The extra shows the frozen Santa clinging to the via ferrata, obviously done by someone with a sense of humour.

After breakfast, I climbed up to the viewpoint where the Bearded Vulture is often seen flying over the pass. There were already three photographers there ready and waiting but no sightings.

We took the cable car down then I went skiing with S and the other two went to a thermal baths. The snow was in much better condition then we thought and we enjoyed the skiing. We stopped at 12 as the queues for the lifts were building up.

Home this afternoon and time to relax.
