Korean Discovery

Instead of hanging at the airport waiting for our daughter's delayed flight to arrive, we decided to get some lunch in Japantown.  Neither of us had ever been AND we were hungry AND we had limited time, so we parked the car, crossed the street and walked into the  very first restaurant.  It was packed!  A good sign. We timed it just right and got a table.  Within minutes there was a line out the door.   SJ Omogari Korean restaurant was excellent!  It was a stormy day so we both got hot soups.  M had the Miso soup chock full of veggies and meat (or tofu)... it was served bubbling and piping hot with an egg on the side.  The whole, raw egg  in a shell. You crack open the shell and empty the raw egg into the bowl, which cooks immediately.  I got the noodle ramen....chock full of veggies and noodles, the broth was steaming hot and spicy hot....my jacket & hat came off after a few spoonfuls....I stayed warm, even though I was seated right next to the door (which kept opening..).  A delicious and surprising discovery.
