Back Currents

A friend who doesn’t live in Wānaka, and won’t be here for several weeks, invited me to pick her black currents and perhaps make some black current syrup. On reading the recipe, there was so much sugar, I thought I’d skip that…and have since topped and tailed them (a tedious task!) and free flowed freezed them. We are enjoying eating them fresh on our cereal every morning.

Another lovely day- met up with photography group for coffee, had a nice walk and then met up with the family of a young man I met through Youthline - they are as super as he is. He is living and working in Japan right now, but coming home for the first time in over 3 years for a visit soon. Lovely connections.
