Revival

The first signs of a New Year springing to life at the allotment: the daffs are starting to come up. I was up there to dump the post-Christmas kitchen compost but spent a while just surveying the scene before digging up the last of the spuds from a quagmire. Fair to say that not all had survived into 2023! Going by the pot behind the hut I reckon we’ve had at least six inches of rain since my last visit - so in a fortnight. That’d explain the quagmire.
It was raining again when I headed out later for a tenpin practice. No one else there again. Did I improve or learn anything from today’s practice? Probably not but I signed up for a competition at the weekend anyway; there’s beer to be won!
