Bee happy.....

.....as I was ambling through the garden the sun was beating down, 31C, dainty flowers were wilting while dahlias lifted their faces towards the sun, I hunted out the shade. Nice to see plenty of honey bees, bumble bees and butterflies flitting around and some tiny spiders basking on petals that only through the macro lens they could be seen. Delighted to have a goldfinch visit who greedily feasted on spent dahlia flowerheads, flicking the seeds everywhere then dropping to the ground to devour them. They usually visit in autumn to feast on marigold seeds so I was surprised and excited.

Tonight our overnight high is 14C, it's going to be muggy until the threatened rain and possible thunderstorms arrive, tomorrow's high is forecasted to be 18C a refreshing drop from today's 31C.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)
