R.I.P. Valerie

It was the funeral today of a well-known lady in the village.  Valerie had had a difficult start in life but, through a combination of luck and determination, had been successful. The service was beautiful (apart from including 'All Things Bright and Beautiful') with her three sons involved in various readings. Valerie was diagnosed with Parkinsons some years ago but lived as full a life as she possibly could.  She was one of those rare people who always looked immaculate, even when just doing the garden or going to the supermarket, and was always interested in others.

There was quite a crowd at the crematorium - family, friends and village; she touched many lives in many ways without realising it. We will miss her.
