Lintz Green Railway Station

Had a lovely walk along the Derwent Walk yesterday (a former railway line).  We ended up at Lintz Green Railway Station.  

The station is the site of an unsolved murder.  On the night of 7th October 1911, the station master, George Wilson, was shot when returning home after closing up his office.    The motive was probably robbery.  He did not die immediately but was unable to say who shot him.  Nobody was ever convicted of the crime.
