View of the wintry sea on a cloudy day

Epiphany, 'loppiainen' in Finnish meaning ending (of Christmas) time.
The Christmas tree is traditionally nowadays taken out of the house on Epiphany in Finland, although in the past, the Christmas season was considered to continue even after Epiphany until Saint Knut's Day, Saint Stephen's Day (January 13).

I and Mr H were taking a car ride to the seaside in southeast Helsinki. The place where especially I spent time many times with my family as a teenager and later with my best friends, still later with my future husband, then husband. A long history:) We haven't been there in years now. There was no one there at the moment, but some tracks in the snow  telling about previous visitors.

Right in the foreground of the picture you can see the ' Vuorilahti flagstones' that are valuable and protected as a nesting places of birds, so going there is forbidden during the nesting season.
