Looming towers through the sands

It feels like we are getting sands from northern Africa on the south winds. There is a haze and the air quality remains questionable, but without the whiff of coal. The photo is of a relatively modern neighborhood mosque (ca. 1866) and in the background, a more modern Camlica Tower (ca. 2020) placed on one of the two large hills on the Asian side of Istanbul. The Camlica Tower replaced a series of decades-old bare steel radio towers on these hills that always reminded me of East Germany. The photographed new addition has an observation deck and restaurant and while some people seem rather against the tower, I feel it is a great improvement.
