‘Distant Figures on the Beach’

Another parkrunday today, and the parkrun weather fairy is definitely on the naughty step!

Normally, when she works her magic, she gives us a dry hour or so from around 9.15 until all the runners and walkers have finished. Not today, though; the drizzle, which had started in the general gloom, turned into a soaking rain shower not long after we had started and, despite this being the first regular Saturday parkrun of the New Year, there wasn't much of an inclination for mingling and chatting at the end as a result.

There were very few people out to enjoy this weather and the beach at Cramond was practically deserted, though I spotted two people in the far distance as we waited to start.
