Ticket Counters

Just when it seemed we’d have to go to the country to see them, the eco-villagers acquired a city base. They gave us the tour, took us up to the roof garden and then it was off to lunch nearby.

The ticket counters at St James station were superseded first by ticket machines, then by Opal cards. They’ve fallen into disuse rather than dereliction.
