Day 2. Porlock to Lynmouth

So, day 2 was very long. A lot of it through woodland, with quite a few diversions due to landslides. The weather was mixed, with the odd rain shower. Things changed for the worse later in the day, with very strong winds (very dangerous on the cliffs - we heard about people being blown off their feet) and heavy rain.

Crossing Foreland point was really difficult, in fact we decided to move across to the road and walked down Countisbury Hill rather than risk the cliff edge. This was good though, it gave us a chance to experience a part of the trip the Lynmouth Lifeboat made to Porlock. See http://www.lerwill-life.org.uk/history/lynboat.htm for further information.

We briefly stopped at Culborne Church, which is supposed to be England' smallest church.
