Betty’s

Last August I received a very generous Birthday gift from my Quiz mates of £70 vouchers for Betty’s Tearooms. Little did I know then that Alice B. would need to supplement the bill to pay for afternoon Tea for two.

We took the 36 bus (£2 each way pp); enjoyed a stroll round the Valley Gardens where I was very taken with the Colonnade then we had a mooch round the shops.

At Betty’s Afternoon Tea is served upstairs in the elegant Imperial Room, the staff are lovely and it is all very quaint and genteel. And ridiculously overpriced!

I am awash with tea now and feel queasy after eating so much sugar!
