Democratic Brazil Continues . . .

The 'idiotic assault', as the A Folha do São Paulo put it, has not yet produced any state threatening repercussions so far, apart from a much needed wake up call to defend the institutions of state a lot better. There are suspicions that insiders on state security were complicit but, thankfully, the inane violence was not directed at state processes in action (a la 6th January in the US), and the vandals should never had got near the empty buildings if the state defences had been on their game.  Shocking ineptitude or sedition.
