A winter's tale

Have you noticed that many places have started to turn down their heating in public places?

Today we were forced to move twice because of the cold.

We had arranged to meet an old friend in a restaurant, which shall be nameless because we appreciate everyone is having to cut down on their heating, but it was so cold we didn’t even sit down but moved to another venue.

Later we visited a new public space in the Thistle centre, a very enterprising project run by the local arts collective GOSSIP. Unfortunately the lack of heating forced us to leave within minutes.
.
Yes these are only minor inconveniences but it may give a precursor of what lies ahead when we face the worst of the winter weather and spiralling heating bills.
