It struck me today how wonderful this section of the York stone paving is around The Minster. Enormous (including the depth) old slabs re-laid, but still bearing the dignified signs of time.

Waterlogged pitches so Southwell senior players trained on a paddock within a barn in the village last night; a real privilidge for a small club like ours as is having a volunteer physio. Another ankle injury for our son, but less severe than his previous injury - confirmed by our local hospital today.
