Quod oculus meus videt

Nimrod

Was due to walk the Shropshire Hills today but my walking partner's knee has swollen up and we didn't think it worth any risks, particularly as the weather was due to deteriorate.

As it was up at the stables the day started bright.  This is Nimrod a young male, bred on the farm.  Unfortunately his development has left him unable to carry riders so he is being used as a therapy horse. He really is a sweet horse, very friendly.  L was out for a short ride, while I did stable chores but I got a few minutes to take some photographs.  The backlighting was delightful and shows of his muzzle hairs a treat (I also added an extra of his left eye).

By the time we'd finished it had already started to rain and it was soon hammering it down.
