Good and bad

It's been terrible weather in our part of the world since the 16th Dec. Yesterday it looked for a while like we might be heading towards flooding, but it's abated a bit.

Today I headed up to Carlisle for what should have been a quick visit, for reason very good (potential funding in Carlisle, and two definite course bookings) and frustratingly bad (localised flooding & an accident in roadworks) it ended up being a nearly all day thing.

But getting home the rain had paused (please please stop!!) and Missy has been going stir crazy... So a quick change and up onto the Fell, everywhere waterlogged, but a sky with some colour, woohoo.

Two days ago I 'soft' launched our Wellness Walks Volunteer Leader Training Scheme (subscribers to our newsletter got a head start...) incredibly we've just passed the 200th 'expression of interest ' (please send me more info) and already we've got 26 proper applications - it's a deliberately involved process to try to weed out whim of the moment people (now called Demomentors as they suck a lot of energy out of a thing without adding any positive). Imagine what might happen if we really pushed it...
Wowsers.
