Did you ever use a Mangle ?

I suspect very few of my Blip friends are old enough to have actually used one in their clothes washing. But I can recall as a small boy being allowed to turn the handle as my mother fed towels and sheets into the rollers.

I recall it was replaced first by a circular Ajax washing machine which had an electric mangle at the top of the tub.

Next was the free standing vertical spin dryer which shook violently when it reached 1200 rpm

Surprising how these memories come from just looking in a shop window.
