Powder Puff Plant

This morning we enjoyed a wander through the Kibble Palace and the Glasshouses in Glasgow's Botanic Gardens. The flowerbeds are looking brown and empty but I expect there are bulbs just waiting to burst through the earth.

Plenty of growth in both the Kibble Palace and the Glasshouses. The blip is a Surinamese Stickpea probably better known as a Powder Puff Plant. The buds are just beginning to open up and when fully opened the flower will look like the extra.

It was so good to be out and about this morning and not get soaked. Fingers crossed that tomorrow is another dry day.
