Dawn's Journal

Standoff

Taking advantage of a break in the wet and windy weather we have been experiencing, I took my "big" lens for a stroll around Bushy Park. The main draw is the 300 plus red and fallow deer herd, though today they were rather elusive.  However, I eventually found a group of stags lazing around  near the water garden, though there were a few "teenagers" practising for the rut next autumn. The does were nowhere to be seen - probably sensibly tucked up somewhere out of the cold wind!

This pair were having a breather between having a great time locking antlers (extra) and grunting at each other.
