Went to the technical museum to visit the repair exhibition. On the way in you pass a transport exhibition which is quite interesting, in particular the sliced  BMW. Next is an exhibition on network and communication which is really good. Lots on the technology both very old and current. There is a fun interactive bit with some old telephones connected to an exchange where you can see what happens when you dial one of the other phones. The exhibition is good as it is also critical about the technology and contains state surveillance and hacker subculture. It is very different from the National Museum of Scotland which is just a collection of artifacts but gives no context or explanation. The repair exhibition was really good. It included a rather busy repair cafe. I watched a HiFi amp, a vacuum cleaner, a sowing machine and a video recorder being repaired. We will book a slot to repair one of the lamps that had an unfortunate interaction with a curious toddler some years ago.

We got glorious sunshine on the way out. Walked towards town past the ruined main entrance of the Anhalter Bahnhof (see extra).
