Cristo Rei da Madeira,

Apparently the oldest Cristo Rei  in the world. It was created by two French sculptors and inaugurated on October 30  1927. Its only 14m high, shorter than its more famous brother in Brazil which is 30m and  not completed until 1931
 
A  touristy location but not far from  the rather splendid estate gardens (extra) and golf course, we'd just run round on today's orienteering.
