Happy Birthday to Me

It's my 40th birthday today. So kind of like New Years Eve (I thought) and a time for reflection and bringing in the new...

The last few days have been somewhat overwhelming in terms of the effort people have gone to and the love they have shown towards me to mark this 'momentous' occasion. From my birthday party on Saturday night to the gifts, texts, messages and phone calls today, I have been left feeling extremely fortunate. Life is certainly an interesting journey.

I've been wanting to start a blog for sometime now, this seemed like as good a time as any. I expect this will be largely music and travel related as they are my two biggest interests - we'll see how it pans out.
