Chickadee Buffet

I found some old lard in the bottom of our large freezer. I figured it would be good for the little birds to have some fat to pick at, especially since we have an ice storm on the way. I cut the skin up and put that out for the crows and that is already gone but made this board for the small birds to nibble at. I realized looking at the pictures that the nails look like little candles with a tiny flame on the ends so maybe it's a birthday buffet. I now have the tray tucked away so it doesn't get covered in ice.
We are as prepared as possible for another power outage. I hope it doesn't come to that. It's a good thing that tomorrow is a holiday otherwise it would be an inclement weather day for sure.
