A Meandering Life...

Pre-MM469 :: Light and/or Dark

White Rock, Black Water a term often associated with the Yorkshire Dales on account of the white (light) limestone rocks and the peaty brown (dark) rivers.

Today we took a drive along Coverdale with its narrow winding road up and down dale as far as Kettlewell. There was still some snow on the high spots. From Kettlewell we returned home via Buckden and Leyburn. It was just north of Buckden near the hamlet of Cray we found a number of waterfalls in full flow.

Tomorrow is Mono Monday with a theme 'Light and/or Dark' and a tag MM469. Again I look forward to seeing your images and will award Hearts and Honourable mentions on Thursday.

Many moons ago I walked the Dales Way with some friends. Knowing about the water and that farmhouse B&Bs took water from streams I carried along some bubble bath. My friends didn't and commented on the fact they had little shrimps in their bathwater. Needless to say I hadn't noticed... ;o)
