Winter walk

Met J&L for a walk on the Downs. Started at Firle Beacon car park and walked to Alfriston where we had left another car. Glorious sunshine to start with but cold. We stopped after a couple of miles to eat our hastily prepared picnic but the heavens opened, complete with hailstones. Lunch was therefore short lived. By the time we reached the car we were very wet. At home we lit a fire and dried our clothes and later had a roast dinner. It was good to get out but it is still a challenge when everywhere is so wet.
