Snackalicious

We tend to eat a lot of Asian food, and while this usually means homemade from scratch, we've also both got our trashy food vices, which comes from wandering round Asian supermarkets and almost randomly trying stuff.

Mel has a thing for instant noodles (though this is a world away from Pot Noodle); while I love the weird and wonderful snack flavours.

In the absence of a recent trip to the supermarket, and in need of some other kitchen cabinet staples, Starry Mart has proven a superb option for us both to indulge. Love it when this delivery arrives. And this time added some Shochu (the world's most drunk spirit don't you know, and beautifully soft at only generally around 20%ish abv) to the mix.

Looking forward to the egg yolk flavoured crisps, having finally found a packet at a not-too-extortionate price.

In other news my hands are a mess after fixing, and moving, the chicken fence (a smaller area than they have had up till now, but only after a year of basically watching where they wander, and how much space they need), and building a new shelter for them beside the old barn, at the spot where they usually huddle when the rain and wind are at their worst (why they don't go back into their shed I don't know, but it also means we can fill an old tyre with sand and earth under there in the hope it gives them a year-round dustbathing spot).
