One day my trams will come

I walked/skated along the icy pavements at lunchtime today to get some fresh air and see how the tramworks are going by the port. The answer is 'slowly'. The tracks are down but the roads are still closed and there were no workers in sight.

This is the Apache II, a ginormous cable laying ship registered in Nassau. It is used for the North Sea oil and gas industry and seems to be moored up for a few days. Its amazing what you can find out on line.

My extra, taken in the opposite direction from nearly the same spot, is of the equally ginormous Scottish Government building at Victoria Quay. Sadly, it won't be sailing away anytime soon to improve the waterfront. I don't mind whats in it, but it's ridiculously ugly.
