Another Day

Bluebells

Finally, we have been able to go and photograph the bluebells in the woods.
One of the reasons we came to Dorset at this time of the year, was to photograph the blue bells, but they have been very late. We have waited patiently, and decided today was the day. It was raining, but we thought we could cope with all the wet weather gear on, leggings, and a large umbrella. It is not easy trying to keep the camera dry, and control an umbrella that wants to blow away, see through glasses that have rain spots, and try to keep the rain off the camera, all the time looking for that special composition.
In the end we had to give up, as it was very very wet, and the Blubells were moving all the time. Because it was so grey, we had to have long exposures which did not work in our favour either. Lunch time called and we called at Beaminster for lunch. When we went to go home we saw another area of lovely bluebells and trees, so stopped again for a while.
We were hoping we might return tomorrow, but the weather forecast looks the same, so we may have to rethink.
Tonight we have had a super dinner to celebrate Alice's approaching birthday. Family at best Bay, a great night.
Keep your fingers crossed for us and the weather tomorrow.
