Plantlife

On such a dreadfully dreary & drizzly day as this, it seemed fitting to make a picture of our freshly planted greens & purples, as they bathed in the relentless downpour.

From far to near, we have planted Sage & Thyme (courtesy of George from his & Janice's herb patch, a fine gift we took away with us at the weekend) then there is one of the purple flower clusters, or Aubrieta's, (a present from Mummy C), next to that is our Poinsettia, which we've had since Christmas (thankyou George again - he loves the plants!) & because it has been looking sorry for itself for quite a few months really, we thought we'd give it a fresh view outside, following which we have our long rooted Rosemary plant (another cutting from George), next in line our Lavender plants sit & finally last (of first) in the que is another purple flower cluster.

We're rather proud of our little flower bed, we just hope these additions take to the soil & flourish!

As you can imagine, with it being such a grey & cold day, tea and bacon & cheese twists won the day over a 4-mile run to Lindfield. Shame, & although we were both overcome with tiredness this evening, we are actually quite keen to get back on track with our training for the Great North Run. Nevermind.

And I think we've just about had enough of the rain once again, how about some more of that sunshine, the plants like that too you know!
