Antelope

I had wanted to see this for some time - Samson Kambalu's recreation of a 1914 photograph from his native Malawi, then Nyasaland, now (and until next year) on the 4th Plinth in London's Trafalgar Square .  It's dominant figure , in every sense, is the preacher John Chilembwe who is celebrated in Malawi on the 15th of January (so I am only a day out in my tribute). 

It is every bit as impressive and every bit as much a "reckoning with history" as this excellent Guardian review contends.
