 ..... whether to risk skating over the ice and picking up some of the seeds or to stay on the safety of the stones at the side of the pond.

If yesterday was a beautiful day then today was even better. Conditions for a walk were just perfect ..... ground that was so muddy last week has firmed up under the layer of frost. Areas in the path of the sun warmed up quite quickly and the white frost covered grass turned green again.
