Storm at Pedernal

This flat topped mountain is called Cerro Pedernal (Flint Mountain). It was one of Georgia O'Keeffe's favorite subjects. After I finished my two tours at Ghost Ranch today, I grabbed my camera.

The sky opened up, the lightning started and the lights went down just like in the movies. It was a challenging light situation and I wasn't willing to stray far from shelter. This was the result.
