Burleigh

Or maybe that should be brrr-leigh?

Our Ramblers walk today took us through to Loch Leven (the one by Kinross). When the leader did her recce last week it was in pouring rain and heavy winds and many of the paths were very muddy. Today most of those same paths were rutted and frozen, and probably made for better walking conditions, even though we had to take care of our footing at times.

Eighteen of us out today and, while some of the paths were still white with frost, on the whole the underfoot conditions weren't too bad. We even had a fair bit of sun (see extra) although we were all wrapped up in multiple layers to protect us against the worst of the cold wind. Main photo is of the ruins of Burleigh Castle, near Milnathort.

Post-walk coffee and blether at Loch Leven's Larder was most enjoyable, although I think I had to sell various internal organs to pay for my coffee and scone!
