Hawk's Head

Best viewed Large

This Grand Rapids, MI sculpture was never my favorite. Called "Male/Female," It was crafted in aluminum by American artist Jonathan Borofsky in 2001 and is 35-feet tall.

What makes it cool though is that it is juxtaposed with a field of wild grasses and it blends into the gray, cloudy sky, softening the edges, making it look vulnerable against the elements.

And, there is the hawk.
