A Grand Day Out

We wanted to make the most of a bright morning. So decided on a trip to Fountains Abbey near Ripon. We arrived for coffee time before having a walk around the Abbey and ornamental lakes. 

There was strong contrasts between light and shade but we really enjoyed our wander in such crisp frosty conditions.

We then enjoyed soup in the cafe before heading home.
