Diptych?

Last week at our coffee session, we visited a few of the historic blocks of downtown Wilmingon, NC and our assignment was to pick one house, and create a diptych showing the house in two different ways.  Peter loves these assignments and always gives a 110% effort.  Here, he stretched the rules a bit by creating a diptych Plus - two of the house as well as the associated plaque, too.  We, of course teased him - points off for three instead of two images, and it appears that the sky (it was a dull, cloudy day) had been significantly altered.

Tonight we attended a talk at the local art museum.  One of the exhibits is called "Promise", a selection of works being gifted to the museum upon the death of the owners.   Here, Bobby Fitzsimmons spoke of her promised works, some from prominent artists such as Alexander Calder and Andy Warhol.  She spoke of how she started collecting and continued through her life.  Her favorite quote is "Art is not a privilege, it is a necessity"  See the extra.
