Sun and fire

Today the sun shone and the sky was clear, and the temperature crisp. It feels like many grey weeks since we had a day like this.
I prepared the fire while Eleanor, Jan and Florence went out on kick sledges and Isaac ran alongside pushing Eric (9 months old today!) in the hi-tech push-chair.
When they returned the sun had come around onto the path and we sat in the sunlight and the adults drank mulled wine.
We all spent a lot of time outside today and now, in the evening, everyone is feeling very tired. Once the children were asleep we managed a game of Mexican Train dominoes and a glass of port. And now to bed!
