Hey Nani Nani!

We were away off to Glasgow tonight for Celtic Connections to see Nani, whom we saw last November in Edinburgh. She was supporting Lewis McLaughlin, an up and coming Scottish artist we were not that familiar with. Nani was with her band this time, in the top photo, with Lewis joining her for a tune. She sounded great, playing more celtic connection type songs, folkie and am looking forward to her releasing some music we can listen to. Then Lewis came on with his band, he must only be 21, but performed like he'd been doing it for 10 years. He is the bottom photo, with Nani who came back on for a tune. I was really impressed so he's now on my list, I expect him to go far.

As we were travelling home I was looking back how we got to the point of seeing Lewis, and how that will impact who we will see in the future. Lewis was headlining the show which Nani was supporting, Nani was supporting Redolent in November, Redolent were supporting Efterklang who we saw in August. I saw Efterklang in 2010 at the Green Man Festival in Wales. We were at the GM because we went there in 2009 to see Wilco, because they had not played the UK for a few years and loved the festival so much we went back another 6 times. At some point, to complete the loop, we just need to keep going until someone supports Wilco and we've gone full circle... maybe tomorrow, maybe someday...
