Birthday boy

Jack’s 25th birthday. We hasn’t planned on seeing him today as he’d made plans to go to Ascot with his friends. I woke up to a text from him asking if we’d like to go to his for brunch. Bibi was working so she wasn’t able to come. Ben and I jumped on the 10.30 train. Brunch was lovely and Jack had his friends there too. I broke my ‘dry January’ because I had a glass of Buck’s Fizz.
We left at 1pm and when I got home, I went for the run that I had planned to go on in the morning (but I think it would have been too slippery in the morning anyway). When I got back, I had a shower and then played scrabble in front of the fire with Ben.
We had a small glass of fizz to celebrate Jack’s birthday with dinner.
