Greyhounds in the Park

We enjoyed an encounter with the North Leeds Retired Greyhound Assoc.* meet on our walk round Waterloo Lake at Roundhay Park. It was bone chillingly cold, the lake was covered in a thin sheet of ice.

The main shows the lead dog in a fetching striped winter fleece ahead of (approx) 20 dogs and their smiley friends. Further on we met stragglers, obviously slow out of the traps!

I was so taken with the range of winter wear (plaid, tweed, luminous) that I have added an extra.

* Made-up name.
