Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

By NannaK

Painterly Puget Sound

We decided we needed a salt water fix today so had one of our favorite walks along the Sound, which I"ve blipped before. too cloudy to see Mt Rainier today.    ( I’ve been looking at landscapes by Bonnard and French impressionists so couldn't resist a painterly filter.)   This is the part that the  Expedia Group has developed to extend the trails.  Those steps down to the beach area had a thin layer of ice on them!  A fairly nice day warming up now ..lots of people but only 2 in this view.  (can you find them?)
That slanted roof in front of the grain elevators is here in the extra, from the walking path….called the Prow  (think boat) near the water and partially underground with a grass roof built away from the main buildings for employees use.  Award winning Design by Addling Darling Design, San Francisco…  see a fascinating description and photos HERE if you are interested.
