Again?

Yes, again.  I can't resist these gorgeous little birds.

At the moment the blue and great tits, plus a couple of robins, are clearing the sunflower hearts from the hanging seed tray at a rate of knots.  It's much easier for them to swoop in and take the food back to the relative safety of the shrubbery.

The long-tailed tits are in and out all day feeding on the suet nuggets, but I had to laugh when one of the nuggets hit the deck to the delight of a squirrel.  I have no idea what happened, but a bit must have gone down the wrong way, and I've added a very bad image of what happened next.

A quick walk around the playing fields this afternoon in beautiful sunshine, whilst JJ cut back one of the twenty or so apple trees.  The conservation group were supposed to come and do some of them last week, but no-one turned up.  At this rate it'll take JJ about three weeks.
