The ice and the ball

In an attempt to stop the birds water from freezing I bought some table tennis balls as in theory the movement of the ball in the wind would stop the water from freezing. As you can see the water still freezes. I’m melting the water each day so that the birds have some water to drink.

I forgot to say yesterday that the robin is feeding from the new feeder in the front garden. But he’s never there when I have my camera with me.

The evenings are definitely getting lighter. Another very cold but beautiful day.
