Twilight aucuba

This photo was taken at about 16:30, when I went out between meetings to give my eyes a rest & my lungs some fresh air.

The aucuba leaves are whiter at this time of year, glowing softly in the dim light. As the sunlight increases through the spring & summer, it turns green-gold. Lovely contrast when the berries ripen. Very hardy & beautiful, much like myself ;)
